第1566期:都说狗最忠诚, I don’t think so.

What happens if a dog bites someone, but its owner doesn’t punish it; instead, it gets a big reward?

The dog will bite more people, expecting a bigger bone for each bite.

If there is no one nearby, it will run around to look for people to bite.

Such is dog nature. Ask Ivan Pavlov, who knows it all.

Everyone says dogs are loyal – I don’t think so.

Loyal to whom, to what?

Suppose you killed a female dog and adopted one of her kids, a puppy, and raised it.

Guess what will happen?

Thanks to your feeding, the puppy will grow into an adult dog.

Will it remember its mother whom you’d killed when it was little?

No. What it remembers is you feed it every day for years. You are its “mother” or “father,” for that matter.

The dog, by nature, knows better than biting the hand that feeds it, that is, you.

But wait a minute.

Where is the loyalty?

To whom, and to what?

Your dog is loyal to you only, even if you took its mother’s life – you, the murderer.

The dog is loyal to you only for the daily food you provide; it doesn’t care about/remember its mother.

Now, you say dogs are loyal?

Yeah, only if loyalty means the loss of the dog’s memory and morality.

If loyalty means reward, every dog will start to bite at its owner’s command.

Now you tell me dogs are loyal because they are loyal to you?

Give me a break.

How to stop dogs from biting people?

Easy:

  • Punish the dog that bites.
  • Punish other dogs that follow suit.
  • Reward the dogs that listen to your command.
  • Kill the ringleader (the dog that bites first and bites again and again after punishment) to scare its cohort (other dogs that bite too.)

Here is the psychology/philosophy/algorism of dogs:

  • One dog bites – rewarded – more dogs bite.
  • One dog bites – punished – no dog will bite.
  • One dog bites – nothing happens – all dogs wait to see what will come.

It’s not the dogs that bite. It’s their human owners.

Dogs won’t bite, if their owners don’t let them.

And you tell me dogs are loyal?

I say – to what?

To whom the dog fangs shine?
