有没有碰到过那种握手特别用力的人？恨不得把你的手掌抓断，这种握手方式英文称为bone-crusher, 据说川普就是这样的“碎骨握手者”。

握手的另一个极端，全手无力，握手时你根本感觉不到他/她的手用力，也不动，就放在你手掌里，被你捏一下就收走了，这种握手英文称为 limp fish（软鱼）。

这个说法很好玩，limp有两个意思，软弱无力（形容词）、跛行（动词）一瘸一拐走路。

“Limp
fish” most often refers to a weak, lifeless handshake (also called a
“limp-fish handshake”). It’s the kind of grip with almost no
pressure—soft, floppy, and unengaged—like holding a limp fish.

过去流行跳交谊舞的年代，英国英语把那些软绵绵、完全任人摆布的舞伴叫做 wet lettuce，形容像一篇湿答答的生菜叶子——食之无味，弃之可惜，影响食欲。
