You are.

今天我们要讲的这个词说的是你是我是他是她，是如今的每个人 — phubber 低头族。

低头族的意思大家都懂，就是整天低头看手机的人，连跟朋友家人聚餐时也在看手机，好像全世界都在手机里面。

2012年，澳大利亚的一本字典公司（Macquarie Dictionary）向一批语言学家、词汇学家、词典编纂学家(lexicographers)、作家和诗人公开征集一个新词，用来表示现在盛行的这种低头族现象。

最后 phubber 这个词脱颖而出，并由这本字典首先收录。

这个词怎么来的？

Phubber = phone + snub + er

如果你不认识 snub 这个词，读完今天的小文就认识了。Snub 就是冷落别人的意思。这个词抓住了低头族忙着看手机现象的精髓，很棒。

如果你只顾着play with your cellphone, 不跟身边的人说话，snub 他们，你就是一个 phubber.

Cambridge Dictionary对 phubber的解释是：someone who ignores the person that they are with and gives attention to their mobile phone instead.

用什么方式并不重要，重要的是不要让手机影响了你的颈椎和眼睛，更不要让手机阻隔了你和家人与朋友的交流。
