第1085期：北极烟霞与 polar bear crisis – 写给最爱北极熊的你

据说北极也有雾霾，但有一个听起来很文艺的名字——北极烟霞（the Arctic haze）。
据维基百科：北极烟霞（Arctic haze）指由空气污染引起的出现在北极地区大气层高纬度上可见的污染现象。因其成分90%为硫，其余为碳，故显红棕色。
一说到雾霾我就来气，我不止一次呼吁过——不要再给自己脸上贴金了，不要再把雾霾翻译成 haze 了，雾霾的正确英文是 smog.

北极暖化的直接受害者就是北极熊（the polar bear）。
截止2020年，北极熊的总数量大约在 22000 头到 31000 头之间，并且数量还在逐年下降。动物学家预测到2040年前后，北极熊的数量将急剧下降，直至2080年前后全部灭绝。
这就是很多西方国家幼儿园里老师教小朋友们参与研究和讨论的 polar bear crisis. 我最近读了一本美国幼儿园老师写的书，读到了相关内容，觉得很震撼。
去年初，澳大利亚的山火烧死了很多考拉，着实令我心焦了很久。后来通过世界野生动物基金会为考拉捐了款才觉得一点安慰。
