Great Sentences

Great Sentences.

The magazine editors I met as a young reporter were like most of the young developers and young attorneys – long on enthusiasm, short on experience.

– “No Promises” by Mimi Swartz.

In my humble opinion, 好就好在最后那个long on… short on…

If someone says that something is long on one thing and short on another, they mean that it has a lot of the first thing but not enough of the second.

例句:

Critics found the book to be long on wordplay and short on plot or well written characters.
